The Girls from Salon Eclipse with Sammy, Farm Boss

As everyone knows, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month & We want to thank Salon Eclipse & our community for helping us raise money  for The Nation Breast Cancer Foundation. The girls from Salon Eclipse came out & did hair extensions for the “Pink Hair for Hope” . We had pony rides, pictures & a delicious cake that was so graciously donated by Moriarty Cakes of Blairsville. Our mascot Sammuel Addams even has his hair extensions to show his support!! A special Thanks to Devin at Persaud Jewelers in Blairsville, for the donations. We raffled 2 of his creations, both sterling silver bracelets with the Breast Cancer charm on them. We couldn’t have done this without everyone’s help!!!  To make a donation to the NBCF go to thier website at:http://www.nationalbreastcancer.org/. To see other events & happenings at the farm, go join our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/astepabove!

  • Our 3rd Annual Halloween Event Oct.31st, 2009 5-9pm

I will be dressed up too!!!

I will be dressed up too!!!

We are inviting everyone to come out & have some fun with us for Halloween!!! My kids came up with this idea when they got “too big” to trick or treat” This is our 3rd year & it just keeps getting better each year! Call me old fashioned, but I don’t consider Trick or Treating “walking around the square” in a line, holding your bag open. Come out to the Stables & see what’s going on! We will have free pony rides, a costume contest, ton’s of candy & Sammuel Addams The Mini all dressed up! i will be here taking pictures of all the costumes & you can download them from here for free. After you get done here, stop in at Scarry Sherri’s for a REALLY kid freindly scarry yard!! She has tons of candy! We’d love to see you all there!

      lefty
    Hi!
I just wanted to update you on the horse I got from you. Lefty is a great match. He is the biggest baby. I love him to death. He has become the boss of all the younger horses and it is great to see him come out of his shell. Still working on getting him a little fatter but he is such a dream and fits in our family well. I am so glad Curtis showed him to me. He is the only TW we have at the stables and when the kids take lessons they like to ride him to see the different gates in horses. It is so funny to see them ride a laugh the entire time because of his walker gate.
Also he dislikes the bugs in south GA..lol.
I wanted to thank you for a wonderful buddy like lefty.
    Thanks again

  • An Update From Massachusetts!!

    Hello Jan & Curtis~
Ann & LLoyd from Massachusetts here!   Tiny Tim is fondly know now as LITTLE MAN!  He has grown about an inch and a half and put on about 80 pounds since February! He has matured into his new name, Little Man.  He has been ridden in groups or 35+ horse in what we call extreme trail riding conditions!  He will also leave the barn alone with no issues.  We could not have asked for a better match.  He is PERFECT for our needs.  My daughter is part of the Quarter Horse association and counts her trail riding hours,  So far this year we are up to 185 hours!  (since February)  He has been amazing!Just wanted to give you an update on the Perfect Little Gentle Man her with us ~ he won’t be leaving our farm at any time in the near future!
    Thank you again~

  • Sammy’s Summertime Farm Report!

Hello again everyone! What a busy Summer we are having this year! We have had so much going on! Everyone has been riding like crazy, and training hard to be the best of the best at this years World Show. We have had plenty of trail riders that always stop in to spoil me. I am happy to report that we had a great showing at the Charles Sumner Memorial Show in Ellijay in June. Chloe Phillips had only her 2cd show ever, and placed Reserve in her class! Way to go Chloe! Jim & Susan had great rides too! My big sister Kameron had the most awsome ride of the night on her Championship TWH ” A Matter of Perfection” in the Walkingbred Championship. She is only the 2cd juvinille to win this class in nearly 38 years in the NRHA. What an honor! WAY TO GO KAM! Stay tuned for a new post of me being spoiled rotten by all the kids that came to ride this weekend! THEY LOVE ME!  As you can see I am showing my patriotism ! Happy 4th everyone!!  Showing his patriotism!! GO USA!!
